Dear Authors/Publishers/Publicists:
I am happy to receive ARCs of books in which I am interested. I generally like women's fiction, hitorical fiction, YA fiction, urban fantasy, children's fiction (from picture books to YA), biography/memoir, LDS books, YA sci fi/fantasy, and interesting non-fiction. Please be aware that I will not accept erotica, gay/lesbian, or anti-Mormon books. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormon), I have a higher sensitivity to profanity and graphic sex than most reviewers - I reserve the right to refuse to read any book which offends me. I do try to keep an open mind and expose myself to different kinds of books. However, I won't waste my time on books that offend.
I will give each ARC/book my full attention, and evaluate them as fairly as possible. Once a review is published, you have my permission to use anything I have said in promotional material, as long as quotes are attributed to me.
At this time, I am not accepting ebooks. I know this is irritating, but I can't stand reading on the computer. In the future, I may accept ARCs that I can read on a Kindle, but not yet. If your book only exists in electronic form, you can print it out and mail it to me. Otherwise, I will not accept it for review.

Because I accept books from many different authors, publishers and publicists, I've got A LOT of ARCs to go through. I will review all of them, but it may not be in a very timely manner. I consider book reviewing my hobby, not my job. My family's needs come first always. In short, I read as much as I can as fast as I can, but it may not be fast enough for you. If you'd like a book reviewed within a specific time frame, you can schedule a review with me for a particular day. I give priority to these books. Otherwise, I will get to them when I can.
I am planning to generate a list of the review books I have, along with the date I received it and when I plan to get to it. It may take a few weeks for me to do so.
I rate the books I review according to the American grading system of A, B, C, D and F. I am known as a tough, but fair critic. I do my best to provide honest, thoughtful reviews, and back up my grade with valid reasoning. Please remember that these are just my opinions. I encourage you authors to leave comments on reviews of your books. If you have a beef with something I've said, let me know. You can comment on the blog post or email me at blogginboutbooks@gmail.com. If you are not prepared to accept some criticism, please do not send me your book.
Interviews, Giveaways, Guest Posts & Podcasts
Because I love reading, I do my best to promote the authors whose books I am reading. To this end, I enjoy doing interviews, hosting giveaways and having authors guest post. Frankly, I have no idea how podcasting works. Sorry. If you're interested in an interview, giveaway or guest post, just let me know. Even if we don't do any promotional "extras," I will always link to an author's website to give them extra exposure.
Amazon, Barnes & Noble, & Other Reviews
Authors have asked me to post my reviews on Amazon.com and other booksellers' websites. I can't promise to do this, but I'll try. How's that?
Manuscript Reviews
I have been asked by several authors to review their manuscripts, which I am more than willing to do. However, some kind of fee will be involved. I'm not a professional, but I also can't do this kind of time-consuming work for free. Contact me if you're interested, and we can work something out.
